Review: Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal Mascara

affiliate links below

I went to the drugstore last week with my sister and saw a display with the new Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal Mascara. I have never been fond of Maybelline mascara, but wanted to give this new mascara a try. First of all, I really like the packaging of this mascara, perfect for spring and summer! The wand on this mascara is huge! I find it is easy to apply this to the upper lashes but more difficult to apply to the lower lashes because it is so large. It also gets a little clumpy on the lower lashes for some weird reason, but I do enjoy the formula. It not too dry or wet. Overall, its a pretty decent drugstore mascara. It is a little expensive, running about $8.50 at my local CVS, but that is easy to get around with coupons, sales, discounts, etc.
I would recommend this mascara to anybody who enjoys Maybelline mascara.

My fiance decided to take a few beauty shots of me applying the mascara, so here's a little treat :)

Wedding Update: We're Getting Married on 10/24/15 !

Hi everybody! I wanted to do a quick little wedding update! Grant and I got engaged on our anniversary 2/9/14 and we're going to be getting married on 10/24/2015! We booked our wedding venue for the ceremony and reception last weekend! We are having it at a local Hotel/Restaurant/Conference Center and we couldn't be happier! This weekend we are meeting with a photographer to discuss packages. It may seem a little soon but October weddings tend to book very quickly, even 500+ days in advance. As for wedding colors, I haven't decided yet. I am leaning towards either a dark purple or a turquoise right now.

Cobalt Turquoise

Royal Purple

What wedding color would you choose?

Review: Clarity Vitamin C Serum

Received sample from Brandbacker

I recently joined an awesome site called Brandbacker, which helps pair bloggers up with different brands and they work with you to do different blog posts about their products, services, etc. I got the opportunity to try out the Clarity Vitamin C Serum by Eu Natural. It is a serum that is supposed to smooth skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and treat dark spots. It features a bland of natural ingredients, as well as Vitamin C and E. It is also made in the USA! When I first applied to my skin in the morning, my skin felt a little tight, almost dry, but once my skin absorbed the serum, it made my skin feel smoother,  and it appeared brighter. It applies very easily and is non-greasy, perfect for those of you who have normal to combination skin types. The product works very well under moisturizer and has helped keep my oily skin at bay. It has not caused any breakouts, which is also good news for those of you with sensitive, acne prone skin. I look forward to the long term impacts this Vitamin C Serum will have on my skin.

If you are interested in trying this product,
Eu Natural has kindly offered a 15% off discount code for my readers!

NOTD - Essence in me & my lover

Taken with my iPhone

I got this nail polish in a makeup swap a few months ago and finally decides to use this nail polish. This polish has a unique formula, with a sparkle and sand effect. I got this opaque color in one coat!  After it dries, it feels like sandpaper on your nails. It is very unique and dried extremely fast! I am very curious about the lasting power of this polish. You can buy Essence products at your local Ulta store.

Vera Bradley Wrislet

 *some links are affiliate links*

A few weeks ago I purchased this little goodie for myself on Zulily. If you don't know what Zulily is, it is a site very similar to Hautelook or Rue La La, that has flash sales on designer brands.
This is is Vera Bradley Pushlock Wristlet in the pattern Sun Valley. The main I decided to purchase this wristlet was because I wanted to way to carry around all my necessities without lugging around my very large purse when running errands! The nice part about this wristlet is that is has four card slots, that are thick to hold to hold more than one card each, as you can see that I have done. This wristlet also has a zip-up pouch on the inside and the pouch on the outside. It can hold my iPhone 4, keys, cards, and even a lipgloss. It is the perfect size wristlet. I can see this becoming a staple in my life! You can still buy the Sun Valley pattern on Vera Bradley's website if you are interested!

Sky Blue: An OOTD

Dress - Banana Republic
Cardigan - Gap
Necklace - Banana Republic
Leggings - Target
Shoes - Target

Wow, I have been MIA for a while. My life has been so crazy these past few weeks I don't even know where to begin. I have been looking at wedding venues, been just crazy busy at work,  and my fiancé's father recently got very ill and will now been spending the rest of his life in a nursing home. I've had no time to post anything on this blog or my youtube channel. Today I was feeling springy, although the thermometer never got over 45 degrees. I got this dress back in February and this is the first time I have worn it to work. I paired it with some leggings in a little black cardigan. I love this dress because it is made of the most comfortable fabric and it helps cover-up my trouble areas, which are mainly my tummy and butt. I really want to get a pair of white sandals and a white cardigan/jacket to pair with this dress in the spring. Hope you're all doing well!

What's in my Purse? March 2014

Happy Sunday! Today I have a video all about what's in my purse/handbag, featuring my London Fog bag that I purchased from Little Black Bag a few months ago! I love the structured style of this bag and it's snap enclosures. It has a TON of space to hold everything you need for work, school, etc.
Watch the video below to see what's inside!
